Parent Support: Empowering families and professionals to create better outcomes for children.
Parents know their children best—but too often face isolation, judgment, and barriers to being heard. Whether you're seeking clarity and confidence or you're a professional wanting to strengthen your support for families, this service creates space for understanding, advocacy, and growth. Together, we work to improve outcomes for children by empowering the adults who care for them.
As a carer and SENDCO, I understand that parents often manage complex circumstances with deep love and commitment. Each child—and each parent—has unique needs and goals, yet the SEND system can feel cumbersome, frustrating, and difficult to navigate. Many parents have shared that they don’t feel believed, heard, or even confident in their own instincts.
Professionals, too, may find themselves speaking a different language—using unfamiliar terminology or lacking experience in SEND. This can lead to misunderstanding, frustration, and missed opportunities for support.
For Parents
Navigating the SEND system can feel overwhelming. I offer a space where you’re heard, supported, and guided.
I help by:
-
Gathering quality information to build a clear picture of your child’s needs
-
Refining your concerns and goals to gain more effective professional support
-
Signposting to organisations, modelling strategies, and introducing helpful resources
For Professionals
Supporting families requires clarity, empathy, and collaboration. I help bridge the gap between professional language and lived experience.
I help by:
-
Acting as a neutral facilitator between parents and schools
-
Gathering evidence to inform effective provision
-
Offering signposting, training, and modelling for staff
